Your Flower Friends was founded from a shared passion for service, sustainability, and bringing joy to others. After witnessing how many beautiful floral arrangements were discarded after weddings, galas, and special events, we felt compelled to act. Perfectly good flowers, meant to celebrate life and love, were being thrown away, while so many people in our community could benefit from their beauty.
We believe flowers deserve a second life. More than that we believe in sharing the experience of flowers. For seniors, children in hospitals, and individuals with disabilities, arranging flowers can spark creativity, provide sensory engagement, and create meaningful moments of happiness and connection. By repurposing event florals and inviting others to participate in arranging them, we transform waste into comfort, creativity, and human connection.
About our founders...
Your Flower Friends was co-founded by a mother and daughter team. Claire, a senior in high school, has a strong desire to help others and has demonstrated leadership as a class mentor and class captain. While seeking meaningful volunteer opportunities, Claire was inspired by the idea of repurposing flowers to serve others. She is creative, has an eye for beautiful design, and brings a natural talent for floral arranging to the mission.
Claire's mother and co-founder, Andrea, shares her passion for community service and values volunteering alongside her daughter. With a professional background in commercial insurance underwriting, team management, and business operations, she brings organizational leadership, structure, and strategic oversight to Your Flower Friends. Together, their complementary skills, creativity and compassion paired with operational and business expertise, made founding this organization a natural and impactful partnership.
